Christopher Haley is head of startups and new technology research at Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation. He leads Nesta’s work on startups and entrepreneurship, including research into accelerators and other startup support. Chris also manages Nesta’s contribution to the Startup Europe Partnership and secretariat of the European Digital Forum.
Prior to joining Nesta, Chris worked in technology transfer. He spent several years with Imperial Innovations, the technology commercialisation and investment company of Imperial College London, where he focused on assessing emerging technologies and early stage investment opportunities with a particular attention to cleantech. Following this, he moved to Imperial College itself, developing and managing the institution’s strategy for enterprise, technology transfer and translation.
